Units are elevated on galvanised steel feet and levelled by adjusting the height of each foot. This removes the need for foundations that are both costly and damaging to the environment. With a Freeform® Stretch House, units can be removed leaving no trace behind.
Off the ground elevation also means the unit is less prone to weathering, plumbing and electrical services are more accessible, and snakes and other creatures are less likely to make an unwanted appearance.
Our units typically do not require planning permissions. However, we can provide guidance on any site-specific considerations that may arise.
INTERCHANGEABLE WALL PANELS
The Freeform® Tent House interchangeable wall panel system gives you the freedom to customize your unit just the way you want it. This unique feature also provides for hassle-free maintenance when required. Walls are designed to pop in and out without compromising the frame and so can be repaired or replaced with minimal downtime.
Standard-sized wall openings are fitted with either canvas or hard wall options. We offer fixed pane, glass sliding doors, and corrugated aluminum as alternatives, but any hard wall option can be manufactured to fit the opening and simply bolted in on-site.
100% WATER-TIGHT, DRAFT & FLAP-FREE CANVAS
Unlike traditional tented camp set-ups which are prone to flapping canvas and drafts, the canvas walls of the Freeform® Tent House are integrated directly into the unit’s frame. This creates a highly-tensioned wall that not only looks super neat but minimizes flapping.
DURABLE RIP-STOP NYLON CANVAS
Canvas walls are manufactured from an incredibly hardwearing and durable rip-stop nylon and offer a 10 year warrantee. These are available with a number of window and door configurations and feature superior quality zip mechanisms. Walls are easily unzipped on three sides and neatly rolled up, seamlessly merging the living space with the environment — a stunning feature that maximizes the scenic beauty of your location.
A tri-layer window system consisting of an external canvas blind, a fixed mosquito net and a clear internal roll-up PVC window, provides for both privacy and protection from insects and the weather.
All components are designed to pack down into a compact 3m x 1.5m crate. This convenient size enables relatively easy transportation to remote locations using either a flatbed trailer or truck.
EASY INSTALLATION INTERLOCKING JOINING SYSTEM
It takes a small team with minimal skills just a few days to install most units, keeping build costs to a minimum. Precision-crafted timber elements simply lock together to assemble the frame.
SUSTAINABLE TIMBER COMPONENTS
Unit frames, sub floors and decks are built from sustainably sourced and treated grundish pine. Grundish pine offers a predicted lifespan of between 10 – 25 years, depending on the weather conditions.
STRETCH TENT CANOPY
A Freeform® stretch tent spans the entire unit including the deck areas, lending a grander proportion to the simple timber-frame structure and blending it beautifully with the environment. Available in a range of subdued, natural tones to complement your setting, this luxurious feature further serves to shield the timber components from the elements, protecting the value of the structure over time.
Freeform® stretch tents are manufactured under strict quality control and comply with all international safety standards. They are fire resistant, 100% waterproof and offer a lifespan of between 5 and 7 years.
